Emergency Management

Emergency Management

Emergency Management plans for and responds to both natural and man-made disasters throughout all of Suwannee County.  These events range from floods and hurricanes to incidents involving hazardous materials and fires.  Emergency Management staff work daily with multiple agencies in Suwannee County to plan and prepare for these events.  Our staff also maintains our primary Emergency Operations Center (EOC) for the county.  The EOC serves as the communications and command center for all events, and when activated, is staffed 24 hours a day.

Our Mission

Our mission is to empower our residents with the knowledge, skills, and resources needed to foster a resilient community. We strive to ensure the safety and well-being of all citizens in the face of emergencies and disasters.
