Civil Division

The Civil Division of the Suwannee County Sheriff’s Office is responsible for serving all enforceable civil processes, such as witness subpoenas, civil summons, writs of execution, evictions, levis, injunctions for protection and conducts Sheriff’s sales.

This is a crucial division for both the Suwannee County Sheriff’s Office and the county because without Civil Process the court system could not function and public safety would be at risk.

The Deputies of the Civil Division process and serve numerous documents per year.

The Deputies in this unit are law enforcement officers first and civil processors second. They always prioritize the safety of the public. It is for this reason that in emergency situations they assist patrol deputies.  The Civil Division strives to follow the Sheriff’s Office mission statement and desire for public safety.  They want the court system to run smoothly because if the papers are not served it causes the system to stop. Offenders need to be held accountable for their actions.
