17-5854 On 3/6/17 Robbie Darlene Ellis, 41  of Live Oak was arrested and charged with Fraudulent Use of a Credit Card, Petit Theft and Contribute to Delinquency of a Minor.

During the investigation of a stolen purse the victim reported her credit cards had been used at a local business. Video of surveillance showed the defendant and a minor using the victim's card and going to multiple registers sharing the stolen cards between them. They were able to complete several transactions. Deputies made contact with defendant at her residence where she admitted to knowing the cards were stolen and used them anyways. The defendant denied having any part in the theft of the purse.

Ellis was arrested and transported to the Suwannee County Jail on the stated charges.



17-6797 On 3/4/17 Craig A Carruthers, 26, of Live Oak was arrested and charged with Battery Domestic by Strangulation and Criminal Mischief.

During the investigation of a reported disturbance deputies made contact with the victim who was observed bleeding from her face and crying. The report states the victim reported the defendant struck her with an unknown object in the face. The victim further stated the defendant put his hands around the victim's throat constricting her airway almost causing her to lose consciousness. The victim reported she and the defendant lived in her car and the defendant also caused damage to the windshield of the car.

Carruthers, was arrested and transported to the Suwannee County Jail on the stated charges.




17-6912 On 3/5/17 Frank Hayes, 43 of Live Oak was arrested and charged with Battery on Person over 65 years of age (Domestic Violence)

During the investigation of a battery incident deputies made contact with the involved parties. The victim and witness who are over the age of 65 stated the defendant began an argument and was asked to leave the residence when he shoved the victim and threw several items in the home and kicked the furniture.

Hayes was arrested and transported to the Suwannee County Jail on the state charges.




17-7118 On 3/7/17 Morris Bowers, 57 of Live Oak was arrested and charged with Battery Domestic Violence, Battery, Resisting Arrest without Violence and Corruption by Threat on LEO.

During the investigation of several batteries deputies made contact with the victims. The first victim reported the defendant attacked him after he spoke with his girlfriend by punching him in the mouth causing abrasions. The report the defendant then struck his girlfriend causing swelling and abrasions. When deputies attempted to detain the defendant, he refused to enter the vehicle when he was taser to gain compliance. While being transported to the jail, the defendant observed pictures of the arresting officers family in the patrol car. The defendant then made threats to the deputy to do harm to the deputies family and children when he was released from jail.

Bowers was arrested and transported to the Suwannee County Jail on the stated charges.
